Millennium king Performance pgn?

Post by Wildy »

Hi
For those who own a Millennium king Performance, how are you downloading your games you play against it and what software does it work best with to view and analyse your games etc?
Thanks!

After I've played a game against mine, I use Millennium's PGN_Tool (downloaded from their website). And not surprisingly, I then copy and paste it from that tool into HCE.

+1 and just pointing out you can play and save, in the device memory, up to nine games.
Then later use PGN_Tool to retrieve each of these games.

That's great cheers.
Which version of HCE will work with the Millennium king Performance as I have heard that some don't work with the pro?

Hi,
as far as I know HCE supports Millennium EBoards since long; and HCEPro since recent version(s). I can't be more specific, I don't have a ChessLink to connect my King Performance.

Hi Tibono,

That's brilliant cheers and thanks for the advice.
Is your king Performance the main board you play on? It's a fantastic bit of kit don't you think?

You are welcome.
Yes, the King Performance is the one always present with a dedicated place on my desk, with the power adapter ready to plug-in. I own many other chess computers, but to play with these, I need to retrieve them from their storage place.
Definitely a nice and versatile chess computer!

There is this little mod for the King Performance. Reduces the board flex and improves the
surface sensitivity.

Materials required: approx. 1.20 meter wooden strip 10mmx 5mm
Hot glue to fix the strip.
Workload approx. 15 minutes.

Interesting cheers. Does it actually improve the sensitivity that much?

Yes it does improve, specially near the centre squares where the board flex is more apparent.

Nice one cheers!
I got my KP around mid 2022 and it is already quite sensitive and not much pressure is really needed at all when moving pieces around. Maybe they seen your modification and upped the sensitivity on newer models. Having said that I still might give it a go!
The millennium king Performance is a great chess computer. I love it! Yes lots nowadays use sensor tech without the need for pushing the pieces down but most of them need a phone connection. At least with the MKP and the in built computer you can play a game with no mobile phones which really get on my nerves!

Hello Wildy,

In your case if it aint broke, don't fix it

At the very least make sure the warranty has expired.

I love the possibility of blindfold chess with the pressure activated boards.
And the build in "The King" engine to me is the best.

No phone needed, dedicated regards :D
